June 13 1831
International Albinism Awareness Day (IAAD) is celebrated annually on June 13 to celebrate the human rights of persons with albinism worldwide.
WHAT IS ALBINISM?
Albinism is a rare group of genetic disorders that cause the skin, hair or eyes to have little or no color.
SYMPTOMS OF ALBINISM MAY INCLUDE
Very pale skin
Very light-blond or white hair
Light-blue eyes.
ALBINISM FACTS
It is estimated that 1 in 20000 are born with Albinism every year.
People suffering from Albinism also tend to have a number of eye problems including impaired vision.

SCOTTISH PHYSICIST & MATHEMATICIAN JAMES CLERK MAXWELL
Best known as Maxwell's Equations, formulated 1861.
Maxwell's Equations demonstrated that electricity, magnesium and light are all manifestation of the same phenomenon.

He published first scientific paper at the age of 15.
He demonstrated first durable colour photographic image in 1861.
He proved that the Rings of Saturn were made of numerous small particles.
His equations led both to the development of radio communication and the discovery that light is an electromagnetic wave.

It was first proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.
During his speech at the united Nations General Assembly (UNGA) called Yoga an "Invaluable gift of India's ancient tradition".
The initiative was backed by as many as 177 nations.

The International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) is an annual celebration to publicize the work of hydrographers and the importance of hydrography.
Hydrography is a branch of applied sciences dealing with measurements of the physical features of water bodies.
HISTORY OF WORLD HYDROGRAPHY DAY?
1921 - Established the Internal Hydrographic Bureau for providing a mechanism & consultation between governments.
1970 - Name changed to International Hydrographic Organization (IHO).
2005 - IHO adopted the concept of World Hydrography Day, which was "welcomed" by the UN General Assembly in Resolution A/RES/60/30 Oceans & law of the sea.

REMEMBERING HELEN KELLER (27 JUNE 1880 - 1 JUNE 1968)
On her Birth Anniversary -Helen Adams Keller was an American author, disability rights advocate, political activist & lecturer.
She was taught by Anne Sullivan, remained with Keller until her own death in October 1936.
First visually impaired person to write a book her autobiography, " The Story of My Life"
